MANSA

Directly translating to “king”, “ruler”, or “conqueror”, MANSA aims to inspire listeners to see themselves as exactly that. With a roster of five multi instrumentalists local to Chicago and typically a ensemble of vocalists, they draw on influence from neo soul, gospel, hip hop, and even film score to push a simple message: be exactly who you are, boldly.

Calvin Omari
A creative, composer, saxophonist, producer, singer-song writer, director born in Washington DC and and currently based out of Madrid, Spain, Calvin Omari subtly bends multiple genres in ways that sometimes feel cinematic. As you listen, you hear his church background in songs like "La Rioja", pulling you into his signature of vivid arrays of emotion. Calvin Omari writes, performs and produces all of his music, as well as directs all video components.
