Future Nobodies is an indie/dreampop/post-punk duo officially formed in 2021 by Angel Covarrubias and Jessica Covarrubias. The brother/sister duo released their first album, Hotel De La Muerte in 2021 as an experimental project. Utilizing a drum machine and dreary voices upon dreamy guitars, the Chicago based genre-bending pair seek to create an eccentric sound derived from nu-indie influences combined with 80s post-punk inspirations. Ultimately, their songs have been described as sad-happy music to dance to. They are accompanied by two other members (Cesar Salceda, Brian Olmos) for live performances.MODELING is a three-piece cinematic, art-rock band creating introspective music inspired by film scores, visual arts and personal experiences. Comprised of brothers Connor, Ryan and Cuinn Brogan, the band places most of their sonic emphasis on intense, analog synth sounds and detail-oriented, electronic textures. Many of their songs center around themes of longing, alienation and feelings of nostalgia with lyrical references to dreams and memories of a time before. The track Apex off their debut EP1 was named best of the best in 2015 by Pigeons and Planes and was placed 3rd in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest of 2015. Stepmom is an orchestral dream punk band from Oklahoma City. With dreamyharmonies, ambient cello and synth contrasted with angsty guitar riffs and powerful lead vocals, stepmom represents the feelings of disillusionment among many who are trying to find meaning and purpose in a society that distorts reality.Ghost Days is the solo project of Chicago based musician, Alessia Kato. Blending elements of dream pop, post-punk and shoegaze, Ghost Days is a sonic exploration through the dreamscape, leaving behind fragments of nostalgia, bittersweet memories, and the unknown. Accompanying Kato is Owney Misterovich on lead guitar and synth.
